Is Your Teen An Entrepreneur?

Are you hoping you’ve got your own Bill Gates in the making in your home? As a parent you can probably tell pretty easily whether or not the entrepreneurial spirit is evident in your child. Some kids make it very obvious that the regular nine-to-five will not be a part of their future. For others, you might need to investigate a bit further to see.

Ask these simple questions about your teen to see if your teen has the entrepreneurial spirit. If your answer is “yes” to one or more, you probably do.

1. Does she ask what she can do to earn more allowance? Is she willing to take on jobs around the house instead of hanging out at the mall with her pals? Does she do her chores and work with vigor and excellence?

2. Did she have the best lemonade stand on the block? Did she go the extra mile to make sure that her stand was profitable and her product and service brought back customers over and over again?

3. Does she value flexibility and independence more than the “sure thing” of an hourly job? Does she make comments about wanting something “more” than just flipping burgers or selling pink t-shirts?

4. Does she work well on her own? In her free time is she thinking of other ways to make money or start a business? When you give her a job or chore around the house does she jump in and do it quickly and efficiently?

Making Music Accessible To Everyone

Music is considered as a combination of sounds form instruments into a rhythmic and harmonic pattern pleasing and attractive to the ears of everyone. This implies that we have to make it accessible to any person who is handicapped in the least form. Thus in making a choice of instrument, we must address the concerns of our beloved handicapped brothers and sisters. We can either make our instruments accessible to them or provide a separate one that will match to their conditions.

Our first concern should address their physical conditions. Operating a musical instrument involves many parts on the body. These parts most of the time do coordinate to successfully function well. For example, the hand, eyes and ears are all involved in playing a piano. A player with a slight disability on the left hand will find it difficult to play this musical instrument.

Consider the size of the player. It is true that some instruments are and must be bigger than others. How big an instrument is will be a relative term. A small instrument to you may be big for me with a smaller mass. The manufacturers have provided the same instruments with various types of edition which can suit all sizes of persons. For example, the guitar has been fabricated into so many sizes.

A number of appliances call for more bodily strength than others. This can be corrected by adjusting or adapting the device or its playing position or obtaining other supports so that every person with any bodily potency can get access to that instrument. If you are considering physical support in relation to the instrument, I will advocate you visit a counselor who is well vested in the special needs of the disable. You can equally visit charitable and other trust foundations which has concerns for the handicapped.

Handcrafted Silver Jewelry Fits the Most Special of Occasions

Throughout our lives, there are days that we know will remain etched in our memories forever. There are milestone birthdays, bat mitzvahs, and graduations, along with our wedding day and the days our children are born. For occasions large and small, handcrafted silver jewelry can commemorate special days and help to create lasting memories.

Lockets

Our grandmothers may have worn lockets on silver chains around their necks, but these memory-keepers are enjoying a resurgence today. Lockets make perfect gifts for new mothers and new grandmothers. For someone close to us who is experiencing a recent loss, a locket expresses heartfelt condolences in a way that honors a loved one.

Silver Chains

Artisans who specialize in handmade jewelry have access to silver chains in dozens of different designs. Moreover, because they solder the end caps and the rings connecting to the clasp, their bracelets, necklaces, and anklets won’t fall off and get lost – an ever-present danger with commercial produced chains. Because the chains are usually sold by the inch, you can purchase one in any size. That makes them perfect gifts for a variety of recipients, from babies to men, from plus-size women to little girls’ dolls.

Pendants and Earrings

Handmade pendants and earrings are made the old-fashioned way, with hand tools, one piece at a time. Set with gemstones, they make wonderful anniversary gifts, Mother’s Day gifts, and even bridesmaids’ gifts. Thematic pendants – like dragons, pentagrams, or Celtic symbols – are memorable birthday gifts.

Birdwatching; A Free And Fascinating Pastime For All

My first experience of deliberate birdwatching took place in Richmond Great Park. The time; 1966, the occasion; one of the first dates with my (now) husband. There I was, all dressed up and ready to knock him out with my drop dead gorgeousness (memory plays strange tricks as you get older!) and there he was, luring me into the undergrowth of the park, hissing to me to keep my head down. No, it wasn’t this bird’s feathers he was after observing, but a green woodpecker that he had spotted. It must have been love on my part because, although I don’t remember seeing the flash of emerald, I do remember getting my trendy high boots covered in mud.

And that was the first of many times that I have shared the joys of avian observation with my spouse. He had been a committed twitcher from an early age. As a boy, a family friend had dragged him along to many birdwatching expeditions, from sighting a large wader (a ruff) on a one time sewage farm, soon to become the fifth terminal at Heathrow, to happy weekends spent observing the many migrants arriving on the Norfolk coast from Europe.

Product Photography For Catalogs

In this article I am going to give you some tips about photographing your products for your catalog. The images you use in your catalog are the most important features you will be deciding on. The images sell your products. The text and everything else are important, but if the images are not well-produced, then your sales will suffer.

There are professional product photographers and using them will ensure that you have the best photos for your catalog. However, this does not come cheap. If you decide to do it yourself, you can save a lot of money. Just be sure you are confident that you can produce high-quality photos for your catalog products.

The first rule of good catalog product photography is to photograph your products individually. Group photos of products do not sell product as well as individual images. Again, it is more costly to do this because of film, printing, and layout concerns. You can save money by photographing your catalog products in groups as long as you understand that this method could also cost you money in reduced sales.

Choose appropriate backgrounds for your products. You want the product to stand out in the picture, not the background. If your product is white, use a dark background. Add contrast to your photos. Take several photos of each product so you can decide later which ones are the “best of batch” later.

If you are skilled with PhotoShop you can enhance the images of your products. Shadowing is a great method to use when you are displaying expensive products like wine, jewelry, or artwork. If you do not know how to use PhotoShop, you may want to get a professional graphic artist to touch up your photos for you.
